96 Hours to Go...Uganda here we come!

Hey everyone! This is Sandi. On February 6, 2010 I'll be embarking on my third missionary journey to Uganda. I will be traveling with the Mission Link International mission team which is comprised of approximately thirty team member, many of whom will be logging their 5th-10th mission trips to Uganda. This dedicated team, led by Dr. Rick Sadler, has ministered to tens of thousands of Ugandans over the last decade.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse of almost 16 years, I am excited about participating as a member of the medical team based in Jinja, Uganda. The team will travel to different villages every day to treat and save the lives of people who might otherwise die of diseases such as malaria, typhoid, syphilis and other diseases common to that area.
On my most recent trip to Uganda in August 2009, I delivered a baby in a small hospital outside of Kampala. That hospital had no actual doctors, no running water, and the midwife was unable to be reached. On this upcoming trip I'll also participate in Mission Link's Global Puppet Ministry, work with the construction team in Kenya for a couple days, and do some evangelistic ministry as well.
Our most important need is prayer. We need You to partner with us while we are gone. Pray for the Open Doors that are needed to be able to minister to the needs of this people group...that they would come face-to-face with the Miracle Maker...the One who can speak Peace to their troubled souls and bring Wholeness to their lives. Also, continue to thank God for the team's health and safety as we travel to remote areas to answer the call of God. As Psalm 91 says, we do dwell in the secret place of the Most High, and abide under the Shadow of the Almighty...
