Sandi Bird Aldridge
Founder and missionary

As a young mother and wife, Sandi originally heard the call of God to missions in 1982 and for a number of years worked alongside her first husband on the home mission field where they traveled around the country with their children, supporting and uniting local church bodies. Their ministry, Agape Ministries Home Missions, Inc., included evangelism, discipleship, children's ministry and various outreach ministries.

Years later, after overcoming a deep depression brought on by divorce, the Holy Spirit brought Sandi to a place of healing and restoration at Valley Word Church in Roanoke,  Virginia, where Sandi flourished under the leadership there for 16 years. During that timeframe,  she was active in numerous areas of ministry locally and on the mission field in Uganda.

A strong believer that ministry doesn't just happen in "organized" church services, Sandi's passion was to minister to Appalachian Trail thru-hikers, to the CouchSurfing Community, and to broken down and stranded motorists. Additionally, she further pursued her ministry passion in the workplace, ministering to both disaster victims while on deployments as a contract disaster responder during Federally declared disasters and to her patients while working as an LPN in the healthcare setting.

For several years, Sandi served as an instructor and staff member on the Roanoke Extension Campuses of both Life Christian University (LCU) and the University of Christian Ministry and Leadership (UCML). At the same time, she was also busy earning a BA in Theology from LCU and a Masters in Theology from UCML.

In 2014, Sandi married her soulmate, Tim Aldridge. Recognizing her ministry call, service, and educational accomplishments, Sandi was licensed and ordained by the Michigan National Association of Christian Ministers during that same time period. After marrying, Sandi and Tim continued ministering at their home church, participated as members of the Chariots Of Light Christian motorcycle evangelistic ministry for several years.

They currently serve as board members and volunteers for On The Go Mission, a U.S. based home-missions ministry and and minister to inmates via email and snail mail. Sandi and her husband currently live in Eastern Tennessee where they are active in evangelism and discipleship.
